According to a Province newspaper feature from October 1932, the team had just completed the “first obstacle” in their quest for the Mann Cup. The Mann Cup is the trophy awarded to the senior men's lacrosse champions of Canada.

This team of talented players – including star goalie Henry Baker, member of the Olympic Lacrosse team representing Canada in the 1932 Los Angeles Games – did not make it to the final series that year.

However, in 1936, a team called the North Shore Indians, led by Andy Paull and consisting of many of the same players shown here, made it all the way to the Mann Cup final series. Along the way, they became the BC Champions and Western Canada Champions before losing the final series 3-1 to the Orillia Terriers at Maple Leaf Gardens.
