Candidate Tess Linsley has dropped out of the mayoral race.

Linsley said on Monday afternoon that an unexpected family issue has arisen that requires her to be in Victoria, and she decided to step down from the campaign.

“I enjoyed the whole process, and I was really appreciative of all the audiences we had and the good feedback that we got,” she said.

She said she won’t be endorsing any of her fellow candidates.

In a questionnaire she answered as part of The Chief’s election coverage, Linsley said she has lived in Squamish for 10 years, and was campaigning on concerns about infrastructure needs and business taxes.
