Fall is well underway, bringing in cooler temperatures, shorter days and even snow along the Sea to Sky in B.C. As this pandemic drags into the colder season, it’s especially important to be proactive about our health and wellness this season.

A new season is always a great time to begin new healthy habits. As we brace ourselves to weather the second wave, now’s a great time to practise some self-care and build healthier habits to improve our wellness.

One of the best ways to boost your health is by eating healthier. Try fresh, locally-grown produce at your neighbourhood grocery store, or check out the health food store near you. It’s also important to stay on top of your healthcare needs. Check out the local health and wellness centres near you for services they offer, whether you’re looking for traditional or integrated healthcare. Lastly, a bit of self-care goes a long way when it comes to wellness. Take the time to pamper yourself with maybe a little makeover ahead of the holidays, or take time to sign up for activities at your local community centre to stay active.

If you are in the Sea to Sky area, there is no shortage of local options to explore for your health and wellness needs. Check out our Sea to Sky Health and Wellness guide for a list of local business offering health and wellness services to the community,
