With Police Week 2024 set to run all next week, Stratford Police will welcome the public for their free barbeque along with partnering community agencies and the Optimist Club of Stratford, who will be on hand to run a draw for Totally Spoked. They’ll also be registering bikes to 529 Garage. The BBQ runs from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m.

The following week will see a number of events on tap, kicking off Monday, May 13, at the St. Marys Public Library when they host ‘Coffee with a Cop’ from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Tuesday sees them back in Stratford at Fire Hall 2 (10 a.m. - 1 p.m.) for the Car Seat Clinic where they’ll team up with CAS, Stratford Fire Department and the City of Stratford.

The Special Olympics Law Enforcement Torch Run is set for Wednesday morning at 10:30 a.m., with the route taking the torch along Erie Street to Boston Pizza. A second car seat clinic will be held, this one in St. Marys, on Thursday, May 16. It will be at the St. Marys Fire Hall on James Street South, starting at 10:30 a.m.

The week’s events schedule wraps up on Friday when Coffee with a Cop brews up a fresh pot in Stratford at Market Square at 11 a.m. Should the weather not be cooperating, the event will be moved into City Hall’s auditorium.
