St. James’ ACW Variety Sale

11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. @ St. James’ Anglican Church, 41 Mornington St., Stratford. 

From ladies clothes to houseswares, this sale has it all, organizers say.  

Friday Night Sessions at The Bunker

8 p.m. @ The Bunker Performance Lounge and Cafe, 104 Wellington St., Stratford.

This evening is the second installment of the Spring Songwriter Session series, featuring singer-songwriter Neil Little, Rita VIsser, amd Joe Lapinski.

Stratford Farmer's Market 

7 a.m. to Noon @ Burnside Agriplex, 357 McCarthy Rd., Stratford. 

Organized by the Stratford and District Agricultural Society. Indoor market expands to outdoors May to October. Veggies, cheese, meats, baking, flowers, crafts, handmade gifts. Backbacon on a bun and farmer's sausage available via fundraising BBQ.

10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. @ The Stratford Public Library, 19 St. Andrew St., Stratford. 

The Stratford Public Library hosts two events this Saturday: Family Story Time with Trish MacGregor and Create, Explore, Tinker! Join Trish MacGregor for storytime and then come back for a creative program for makers of all ages and abilities. Everyone is welcome and no registration is required.

The Bunker Comedy Nights

7:30 p.m. @ The Bunker Performance Lounge and Cafe, 104 Wellington St., Stratford.

Join The Bunker as they welcome James 'Jameasy' Cummins, Dave Luca, and local comedian Brian Couto to the stage for a comedy extravaganza you won't soon forget.

A Season in Place: Stratford’s Riverside Plant Walk

9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. @ Birnam Wood Park 

Join hosts Gabby and Terran for a grounding-in-place practice and guided plant walk along the north side of the Avon River, learning plant names, basic plant identification skills, foraging ethics and safety, medicinal and edible (and poisonous?) uses, history and more! Organizers ask participants to bring their own water bottle and wear comfortable clothes and walking shoes, as it is a slow 2km walk, but it is unpaved and uneven.
