Squamish will have free transit on election day

In addition, a downtown-to-Totem Hall shuttle service will operate that day

No excuses for not going to the polls, folks.

Buses and handDART services in Squamish will be free on election day, which is happening tomorrow on Oct. 24, a BC Transit news release states.

In addition, there will also be a free shuttle service connecting Totem Hall to downtown that day. 

It will depart for the Totem Hall Voting Centre from the Squamish Public Library every hour between 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and return from Totem Hall to the library every 40 minutes past the hour.

Riders can board the election day shuttle bus at the following stops:

Library exchange on Second Ave. at Main St.

Cleveland Ave. northbound, south of Victoria St.

Cleveland Ave. northbound, north of Winnipeg St.

Cleveland Ave. northbound, north of Pemberton Ave.

Cleveland Ave. eastbound, east of Buckley Ave.

Riders may request to disembark at any downtown stop on the return trip.
