Children's Bluetooth bike helmet recalled due to safety hazard

The black speaker helmets were sold in Toys R Us in Canada and Walmart in the U.S.

These Dimensions Bluetooth helmets have been recalled by Health Canada

A children’s Bluetooth helmet, sold by Toys R Us, has been recalled by Health Canada due to an impact hazard.

According to the federal authority, the Dimensions Bluetooth Speaker Helmets do not comply with the “U.S. CPSC federal safety standard for bicycle helmets, posing a risk of head injury.”

As well as Toys R Us in Canada, the helmets were also sold across the border in Walmart.

What to do

Health Canada is telling consumers to stop using the recalled helmets immediately and contact Sakar International Inc. for a free replacement.

Affected products

The helmets are black with black straps and a black buckle. The white label on the inside of the helmet contains the Item # ACTGEAR-238BTS in the bottom left corner. The affected products were sold from February 2021 to February 2022.
