Earlier story:

Nanaimo RCMP are asking the public for help in finding a pair of sailors who have not been heard from in four weeks.

Robert Stalker, 30, and Julie De Myer, 33, are believed to have been travelling on a white sailboat named Calliope.

They were last heard from on July 20.

Stalker’s family made a missing persons report to RCMP on Wednesday, as there has been limited contact from the pair, “which is out of character for Stalker,” RCMP said in a statement.

Stalker is described as white and six-foot-one, weighing about 190 pounds with blond hair and blue eyes. De Myer is described as white, five-foot-10 and about 155 pounds with red hair and blue eyes.

Police ask anyone with information about their whereabouts to contact Nanaimo RCMP’s non-emergency line at 250-754-2345.
