Metro Vancouver TikTok star Kris Collins celebrated hitting the 25-million follower mark by bungee jumping off a bridge in Whistler, courtesy of energy drink brand Red Bull.

What do you do when you wake up to find you have roughly as many TikTok followers as Australia has residents?

Jump off a bridge, if you're Kris Collins. (A.K.A. @kallmekris)

The Metro Vancouver local and TikTok megastar recently hit the 25-million-follower mark, and to celebrate, gave in to her followers' request to honour the milestone by bungee jumping—with the help of Red Bull.

The hilarious content creator headed up the Sea to Sky highway to Whistler Bungee to document the daring leap on her TikTok, YouTube and Instagram feeds. Footage shows Collins being strapped into a harness, while a staff member asks her if she's ready—"Not remotely," she replies—before she bravely leaps backwards on the count of "one" and plummets toward the river below, "seagull screech" and all.

About that screech, "😂 Once you hear it, you can't unhear it," commented Red Bull's official TikTok account on her post.

The major follower milestone comes less than a year after the former hairstylist first downloaded the video-sharing app out of boredom during the initial coronavirus lockdown. "I watched [TikTok] for like three days straight, no sleep, and then said 'I'm going to start making some videos—might as well, I have nothing else to do,'" she told Vancouver Is Awesome late last year

Today, Collins is the most-followed TikToker in Canada. She's best known for her hysterical original skits, but is also credited with helping to erase the stigma surrounding mental health issues by sharing her own struggles.

"I am so glad you guys chose [bungee jumping] for me to do, because I was scared of this one the most!," she told her followers in an Instagram post. "And that has really been the theme of this past year for me; doing things that scare me. Battling and opening up about my mental health; doing what truly brings me joy; trying to entertain all of you everyday. All things I could never [have] done a year ago. So thank you SO MUCH for believing in me and supporting me along this crazy journey!"

This latest dare is a continuation of Collins' relationship with the energy drink brand. After posting videos of herself drinking Red Bull during a trip to her P.O. Box last spring, her growing contingent of followers took it upon themselves to spam the company in her comments in an effort to convince the Red Bull to sponsor her.

Eventually, a rep reached out. Not only is Collins now equipped with "a lifetime supply of Red Bull," but last fall, the company flew her and her boyfriend up to the top of a mountain in B.C.'s backcountry to help her celebrate after hitting the 10-million follower milestone.
