Video: Pedestrian struck by taxi in Richmond

A Richmond man was sent to hospital with non-life threatening injuries after being hit by a taxi on Saturday evening.

Richmond RCMP officers responded to a call shortly before 7:30 p.m. that a pedestrian was struck at the 7900-block of Westminster Highway, between No. 3 Road and Minoru Boulevard, on June 4.

"The pedestrian, a 25-year old man from Richmond sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported to hospital after being struck by a taxi," said Cpl. Dennis Hwang, media officer for the Richmond RCMP.

Hwang added that the taxi driver was cooperative and remained at the scene.

"The taxi had a fare at the time of the collision and neither they nor the driver was injured."

The investigation is on-going.
