Amateur photographer Glen Govier sent in these shots he took last week of an osprey scanning, diving and snatching on the North Shore waterfront. Govier is a Burnaby resident but says he spends a lot of time shooting wildlife on the North Shore, particularly at Maplewood Flats Conservation Area. His photo of an elusive Mandarin duck named "Trevor," known as the world's most beautiful duck, became a viral sensation for the Burnaby Now in 2019.
