The Delta Chamber of Commerce and the Fraser Valley Real Estate Board will be hosting a virtual business forum for Delta federal election candidates.

The forum will be held on Tuesday night, Sept. 14, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Reach Child and Youth Development in Ladner.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the forum will be filmed and livestreamed for the public to view and participate in by registering here.

According to the Chamber, the forum will address business and business-related community issues relevant to the federal government. Only parties with sitting MPs in the House are being invited to participate in this event, so the forum is open to Liberal candidate Carla Qualtrough, Conservative candidate Garry Shearer, NDP candidate Monika Dean and Green candidate Jeremy Smith.

Immediate past board chair of the Chamber, Yvonne Anderson, will be the moderator.

The Chamber and Fraser Valley Real Estate Board will contribute business-specific questions based on local issues.

Members of the public are invited to submit written questions to the Delta Chamber prior to the meeting, by email ([email protected]), mail, or in person at the Delta Chamber & Visitor Info Centre. Those attending the meeting virtually may submit their questions during the forum via: sli.do.

The Chamber will have more details on its website on how to view the forum later this week at: https://www.deltachamber.ca/.
