Get to know your neighbourhood police officer. On Monday, March 11, Squamish RCMP will be at Cloudburst Café. The public can join them between 9 and 11 a.m. to ask questions, raise concerns and get familiar with the RCMP officers who serve the area.
Officers from different sections of the Squamish detachment will be there, and drip coffee will be provided.
The Coffee with A Cop initiative began in 2011, when officers at a police department in California wanted to interact with people in a non-emergency setting. Since beginning the simple idea, it has been used by local police departments across the U.S., Canada, Europe, Australia, Latin America and Africa.
