Squamish's Refresh Market debuts its first fall market

Vendors and artists return to Squamish Sept. 13 and 14

After eight years of bringing B.C.-based artists and creators together under one roof, Refresh Market is hosting its first September market.

“Refresh has grown far beyond what we could have imagined,” co-founder Rachel Boguski said in a press release. "In the age of mass consumerism and textile waste, we are proud to offer a space to connect directly with the people who make and source the products. It's an entirely personal and ethical way to consume, while directly supporting the artists."

On Friday and Saturday, Sept. 13 and 14, Refresh Market will return to the West Coast Railway Heritage Park. At 75 booths, vendors will be selling their goods, including handmade and locally designed jewelry, clothing, vintage items, art and food. A coffee and ice cream bar will be at the ready for tired shoppers, and visitors can have tarot card readings done.

Refresh Market has been operating since 2011, usually with curated markets in April and November.
