COVID-19 exposures prompt about 180 Sea to Sky students to self-monitor

The exposures in Squamish and the Sea to Sky happened between March 2 to 19.

Over the last month, about 180 students in Sea to Sky schools have been asked to self-monitor due to COVID-19 exposures.

School District 48’s director of instruction, Phillip Clarke said the exposures occurred between March 2 to 19.

In addition to the students, about 20 staff throughout SD48 have also been asked to self-monitor.

About 10 students have been asked to self-isolate.

Don Ross Middle School, Howe Sound Secondary and Valleycliffe reported exposures around March 15 to 16. Brackendale reported exposures earlier.

Several other Whistler schools also were alerted of exposures this month.
