Safety alert: Canada-wide recall for popular dry shampoo

Check your cabinets.

Health Canada warns that a popular brand of dry shampoo has been recalled from the marketplace due to improper labelling. 

In a recall notification issued on Monday, Aug. 28, the federal health department states that Daylogic Dry Shampoo Original does not meet the labelling requirements for Canada's Cosmetic Regulations.

The recall involves the Daylogic Dry Shampoo Original 1.6 FL OZ (30 g) with item code RA27543 and UPC 011822275439.

The company, Quality Home Products, reported that 7,344 units of the affected products were sold in Canada in December 2022.

As of Aug. 24, there have been no reports of injuries associated with the use of the product in the country.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled product and dispose of it "safely according to local municipal waste requirements."
