There will be more bikers in town on Saturday, Squamish.

Motorcyclists will be seen rolling into town this weekend for a get-together hosted at a local cafe.

The Harley-Davidson Fuel Good Tour will be rolling into town on Saturday, Sept. 25, as it will be taking a pitstop at Cloudburst Cafe from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The tour is an effort to give motorcyclists a chance to hit the open road, connect with fellow riders and support small businesses across Canada, according to a news release about the event.

“During the pandemic, Canada’s riding community has been starved of events that help maintain the incredible bond between bikers across the country and provide opportunities to engage with local communities and give back,” reads the release.

“The Fuel Good Tour will give Canadian bikers a range of destinations to ride to or meeting places to ride from; lending a helping hand to the small businesses that have suffered over the last 16 months and recognizing the incredible efforts of our frontline workers.”

The event will have food, music, photo opportunities, giveaways and prizes, plus an opportunity to see a new Harley-Davidson motorcycle on display at the cafe.

Participants will also have an opportunity to “nominate a legend,” to recognize Canada’s frontline and essential workers. The winner will receive a trip for two to Muskoka’s JW Marriott Hotel. People can also nominate someone online at the website, harleyheroes.ca

This is one of the last stops on the tour and the only one that is taking place in Squamish.
