Snowfall warning issued for Whistler

Up to 25 cm of snowfall expected by Sunday

A snowfall warning is in effect for Whistler and the Sea to Sky.

More snow is finally on the way for Whistler.

Between 15 and 25 centimetres is expected to fall starting tonight and intensifying on Sunday morning, according to Environment Canada.

“The rain-snow line is expected to be just above Squamish tonight then progress beyond the Tantalus overlook to just south of Brandywine early Sunday,” reads a snowfall warning posted by Environment Canada.

“Snowfall accumulations of up to 25 cm are possible between Brandywine and Whistler. Heavy snow will end Sunday evening.”
