A cruise voyage that departs out of Vancouver this year will take oceanic enthusiasts on a tropical tour of the South Pacific at an absolute steal.

Passengers will spend a full month cruising to some of the world's most highly sought-after destinations en route to Australia on board the Majestic Princess with Princess Cruises.

Known for its elegant, traditional cruising style, Princess Cruises offers an elevated sailing experience featuring high-end dining options, attentive service, well-appointed staterooms, and impressive entertainment.

The 31-Day Hawaii, Tahiti & South Pacific Crossing departs Vancouver's Canada Place cruise terminal on Oct.3 and spends a couple of days at sea before stopping in San Francisco on Oct. 6 and then Los Angeles on Oct. 8. The cruise spends four days at sea en route to Hawaii, then stops in Honolulu, Oahu on Oct. 13. After stopping in Lahainia, Maui on Oct. 14, the ship spends five days crossing the Pacific to Tahiti. Following two nights there, it spends three days at sea before stopping in Pago Pago, American Samoa.

The voyage will sail for a few more days crossing the International Date Line before making stops in Auckland, Tauranga, and the Bay of Islands in New Zealand.

Vancouver cruise to Sydney, Australia with Princess Cruises

The total cost for an interior stateroom is $8,732.48, which works out to $4,366.24 per person including all taxes and fees.

Since the cruise is 31 days long, the price works out to a per diem cost of about $140.85 including all taxes and fees.

While that price tag might seem steep, the cost of even just one week for an all-inclusive stay in a resort in Mexico for a couple of weeks typically costs upwards of $1,500 to $2,000.

Not only does that cost include your transportation on a beautiful five-star vessel, but it also includes meals, entertainment, snacks, and lodging. The only thing it doesn’t factor in is alcohol, but you may opt to purchase a drink package that can reduce your spending.

The ship is the five-star Majestic Princess, which offers swimming pools, hot tubs, a live theatre, a basketball court, mini-golf, renowned spa treatments, movies under the stars, a jogging track, and much more.

Vancouver flights to Australia are notoriously costly. However, you can use this clever hack with a stopover in Honolulu, Hawaii to save on the cost of your return ticket back to Vancouver International Airport (YVR) from Sydney.
