Two of the Sea to Sky's best finished one and two in Italy on Canada Day.

Squamish's Jackson Goldstone and Whistler's Finn Iles landed in first and second on the podium, respectively, at the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup in Val Di Sole on Saturday, July 1.

Goldstone finished with a time of 3:34.926 to claim his first elite World Cup victory (watch his winning run here), while Iles finished with a time of 3:37.150 to take second.

"I don't have many words to say I'm just so excited. The run was just on the edge the whole time right out the first corner I was already pushing really hard and yeah I just escaped with all those mistakes I made and somehow kept the flow going," Goldstone said in a post-race interview.

France's Thibaut Daprela (3:37.366), Aussie Troy Brosnan (3:38.797), and France's Loris Vergier (3:39.121) rounded out the top five.

On the women's side, Austrian Vali Höll took the elite victory, with a time of 4:07.440, followed by Swiss rider Camille Balanche in second (4:10.353) and New Zealand's Jess Blewitt in third (4:12.210). France's Marine Cabirou (4:12.445) and Germany's Nina Hoffmann (4:12.689) rounded out the top five.

B.C. was also well-represented in the Junior Men's standings, as Rossland's Bodhi Kuhn earned the victory with a time of 3:43.788, edging out American Kenneth Pinkerton and Germany's Henri Kiefer.

New Zealand's Sacha Earnest and Erice van Leuven took the top two spots in the Junior Women's standings, followed by France's Lisa Bouladou.
