The 62nd annual Squamish Days Loggers Sports is underway in Squamish. Here's the breakdown of what to do and where to go.
FRIDAY
WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP CHAIR CARVE
WHEN: 3 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.
WHERE: Winnipeg Street at Cleveland Avenue, downtown. Judging and auctioning of chairs takes place at approximately 5 p.m.
All proceeds go to Big Brothers & Big Sisters Squamish.
SQUAMISH DAYS BED RACES
WHEN: 6:30 p.m.
WHERE: Cleveland Avenue, downtown Squamish
A locals' favourite. Each team must negotiate a two-block course filled with obstacles and challenges.
Cash prizes for the top three finishers.
CINEMA UNDER THE STARS
WHEN: 8:45 p.m.
WHERE: Junction Park, downtown Squamish
Squamish Days newest event, Cinema Under the Stars. features Tim Burton’s version of Dumbo. Bring your blanket and enjoy a night out under the big sky of Squamish.
SATURDAY
KID’S FESTIVAL
WHEN: 9:30 a.m.
WHERE: Junction Park, Cleveland Avenue, downtown Squamish
Many activities including races, face painting, bouncy castles, bubble station, bean bag toss, mini golf, and balloon art.
NOVICE & INTERMEDIATE LOGGERS SPORTS SHOW
WHEN: 1 p.m.
WHERE: Al McIntosh Loggers Sports Grounds
Proceeds of ticket sales will go to the Sea to Sky Forestry Centre.
This is where competitors start in loggers sports.
Non-perishable food items being collected this year to support the Squamish Food Bank.
SQUAMISH DAYS AXE THROW INVITATIONAL
NEW LOCATION
WHEN: 7 p.m.
WHERE: Norman Rudy’s Patio
Bragging rights are on the line once again at the Axe Throw Invitational. Live music follows the event with the Over Comers.
SUNDAY
PETER HARRIS LOGGERS BREAKFAST
WHEN: 7 a.m. to 11 a.m.
WHERE: Chieftain Centre Mall, downtown Squamish
A hearty logger-style breakfast.
SQUAMISH DAYS 8K RUN & FLASHBACK MILE
WHEN: 8:25 a.m.
WHERE: Howe Sound Secondary School (Start & Finish), registration before 8 a.m.
The Flashback Mile is for kids, those just getting into running or those who prefer speed to distance. Post-race fun includes draw prizes, awards and refreshments.
SQUAMISH DAYS FESTIVAL PARADE
WHEN: 11 a.m.
WHERE: Cleveland Avenue, Downtown Squamish
Always a family favourite, the parade will begin at Vancouver Street, travel up Cleveland Avenue and end at the Bank of Montreal.

WORLD-CLASS OPEN LOGGERS SPORTS SHOW
WHEN: 1 p.m.
WHERE: Al McIntosh Loggers Sports Grounds
Come take in the action. One of the most exciting events you will see is the World Championship Tree Falling.
MONDAY
PICNIC IN THE PAVILION
WHEN: 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
WHERE: O’Siyam Pavilion, Downtown Squamish
Music and entertainment for the whole family. Jamey Horth with be leading a free boot camp class from 11 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. Bring your mats.
There's also a beer garden and music by Pierre Eady, Loam and from Vancouver, Rock N’ Roll Circus.
