“Thanks to the community of Squamish, we have raised over $1,200 through collecting empties at the Squamish Bottle Depot” says Bianca Peters, president of the society, in a news release.

“Terrill was known for recycling cans and bottles so it’s fitting that the money was raised by recycling.”

  • Applicants should outline how they embody the ideals and values that were important to Terrill, including involvement in politics and the environment;
  •  Applicants must demonstrate excellence in service;
  • Preference will be given to applicants with a demonstrated interest in local history;
  • Preference will be given to applicants who are a member of or are involved with the LGBTQ+ or neuro-diverse communities;
  • Proof of registration at any type of Canadian post-secondary training institution is required;
  • May be deferred for one year upon written request to the donor.

“We miss seeing Terrill riding his bike through the community and listening to his views on local politics. It’s our wish that his legacy will help support future generations meet their goals” says Peters.
