The not-for-profit Between Shifts Theatre Society has a new, if temporary, home.

The society's landlord in the BC Rail yards gave it notice at the end of September that the group has to be out of their current space by Nov. 30.

"We are desperately looking for storage/building space for props costumes, flats, etcetera. The future of our club is in jeopardy," Kathy Daniels, co-founder of Between Shifts, told The Chief last week. "Terrible way to be celebrating our 25th anniversary," she added.

But Wednesday night, Daniels announced that Westcoast Outbuildings will rent the troupe space in its old car shops for six months.

And the new space came just in the nick of time. The society's next performance at the Eagle Eye Theatre, The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, is scheduled to open Nov. 24 and run through Dec. 1. For more information on the show go to betweenshiftstheatre.com.
