Brackendale Fall Fair returns to Squamish this year

After skipping 2018, beloved event makes a comeback

After last year’s cancellation, the annual Brackendale Fall Fair is making a comeback.

The Brackendale Farmers Institute announced that 24th Annual Brackendale Fall Fair will take place on Sept. 7.

This one-day fair will bring together an assortment of food, vendors, community organizations, exhibits, live music, farm animals, hayrides, mini golf and the much loved zucchini races.

It’s been a staple of the Brackendale community and all of Squamish.

Last year, it was cancelled. No official reason was given, but it seemed to stem from a lack of volunteers.

The Brackendale Farmers Institute was first founded and registered with the Province of B.C. in 1915. Its mission has been to educate and encourage people about agriculture and host yearly exhibits of local produce and products.

The Brackendale Farmers Institute Park has been the home of the Brackendale Fall Fair since 1997. The park has been created and kept maintained by volunteers.
