A big shopping cart full of daffodils to the wonderful lady who took my purse back into the Your Independent Store. There are a lot of beautiful people out there. Thank you.
Fresh daffodils to the youth of Squamish. What a joy to see so many out and about without parents on bikes, skateboards, at playgrounds or just sitting together outside over the long weekend. Who says it is the computer-obsessed generation? Not these kids.
Fast-food shaped darts to the yahoos who just dropped their food packages on the boulevard in front of the fast food outlets in the Squamish Industrial Park along Highway 99. The garbage was a negative moment in an otherwise lovely ride along the Discovery Trail.
A bouquet of daffodils for Catherine and the women of Billie’s Flower House for their superior efforts following up with a shipment of roses for Mother’s Day.
Darts to the people who left cigarette butts on Murrin Trail. How could anyone litter in such a beautiful scenic environment?
Darts to the people who insist on speaking on cellphones while hiking on trails. If you need to talk on the phone, go sit in your car and have your conversation away from others who are out trying to enjoy the peace of nature.
If someone calls while you’re on the trail, tell them you’ll call them back from your vehicle. That way, you and everyone can enjoy the natural surroundings in peace. Long, droning conversations ruin the outdoor experience for others.
Pretty daffodils to green-thumbed people who are sprucing up their gardens for all to enjoy. Thank you, from your neighbours.
