Darts & Daffodils

People give thanks to everything from Squamish Spit staff to VCH public health nurses
Squamish Windsports Society staff watch over kiteboarders and windsurfers at the Squamish Spit.

Kite bags full of daffodils to the amazing Squamish Windsports Society staff at the Squamish Spit. Last weekend was very busy on the water and the staff members were on the ball. Not only did they do a great number of rescues, but the staff managed the hordes of people and equipment at the Spit well. You help make the Spit an amazing, pleasant place to ride.

Bouquets of daffodils to the VCH public health nurses who provided more than 100 immunizations to kindergarteners at the recent Children’s Health Fair. Their dedication helps protect us all from vaccine-preventable disease.

A dining room filled with daffodils for Ann, who helped us with our sound system. Many thanks!

Spiky darts to the ignorant drivers on the road out to the Spit! Those of us who like to walk down there really don’t enjoy inhaling your dust cloud because of your impatience and need for speed. Slow down and think of others! One of life’s lessons...

Ponds and streams of daffodils to the District of Squamish for allowing the beavers to remain in peace! It has taken four years for them to come back and now the incredible ecosystem is back. The blue herons, ducks, turtle and frogs and residents and viewers of Valleycliffe thank you.

Relaxing with the sound of the river, enjoying the sunshine, feeling the wind on our cheeks and toes.... only to be disrupted by big dogs running loose kicking sand all over us! Darts to dog owners who are so irresponsible to think that everyone loves their dog drooling and walking all over them. We love dogs, but please keep them on a leash.
