Darts & Daffodils

Flower vases full of daffodils to Norm Halvorsen and the lovely ladies who arrange and keep the vases looking beautiful at Hilltop House. Our residents really have been enjoying them this summer.

A transit bus full of daffodils to the Squamish transit driver who went above and beyond on a wet Wednesday afternoon.  While transferring buses I left my umbrella on the floor. I told the connecting bus driver that I forgot my umbrella on the other bus and if he could advise the other driver to leave my umbrella at the depot and I could pick it up another day. He pulled his bus over and waited for the other bus to come so I could retrieve my umbrella from the other driver. You guys rock!

– A very grateful “ma-am.”

Many daffodils for the Save-on-Foods bakery department for their generous donation to our annual picnic at the West Cost Railway Heritage Park on July 21, 2016.

Hayride wagons full of daffodils to the volunteers who spend countless hours making the Brackendale Fall Fair such a wonderful community event. From the keeper of the grounds, to the community organizations who showcase their organizations activities, to the attendees who enter their best garden produce, preserves, arts and crafts and collections – and all the other talented participants – you make it happen!

Hospital rooms full of daffodils to Save-On-Foods for the random fruit and snack basket you dropped off for the nurses to enjoy last Friday! It absolutely made our day! You kindly did that “just because” and we were blown away! We are so grateful to everyone in the community for all the treats and thank-you gestures dropped off daily.
