The West Coast Heritage Railway Park is set to be invaded by dinosaurs for Spring Break.
The stars of the animated show Dinosaur Train are taking over the park once again, and Squamish residents of all ages can engage in some prehistoric fun.
Attendees can hop on a train to find the aforementioned “dinosaurs,” search for fossils, find their footprints and get up close and personal to all the stars of the show.
Some of the more popular characters coming to Squamish include Buddy the Tyrannosaurus and the pteranodon trio of Tiny, Shiny and Don.
Inside the CN Roundhouse the activities will include digging for fossils, dinosaur tracking, temporary tattoos and other activities.
Daily train rides occur at 10 a.m., plus additional trips at 1 p.m. on weekends. Children under two years old can sit on their parent’s lap and do not require a purchased ticket.
Dinosaur Train will run from March 20 to 25. Tickets are available at the park or online at www.wcra.org. It’s recommended that train riders arrive at least 30 minutes before the train departs to board in an efficient manner.
