Learn new moves with Squamish dance series

Women’s and welcome centres are hosting a potluck and bhangra, sevillanas and argelian dance sessions.

On July 21, a bhangra dance and potluck event will occur between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m.

Come out to learn and share, Squamish.

Howe Sound Women’s Centre and the Squamish Welcome Centre are inviting locals to come explore and share different foods and dance over the next couple of months.

On July 21, a bhangra dance and potluck event will occur between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. 

Bhangra is the traditional folk dance of Punjab, India.

On Aug. 17, a sevillanas dance and potluck event will be held between 6 and 8 p.m. Sevillanas is the traditional dance of Andalusia, Spain.

Sept. 7 is the date of the argelian dance and potluck. Attendees will be able to learn about the traditional dance of Argelia, a country in North Africa from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The location of each of the events will be given at registration.
