A local company will be one of the Top 10 to compete in the “best concept” category of the Small Business BC Awards.
Sea to Sky Removal will be pitted against nine other semi-finalists for the prize, which is $1,500, alongside with a one-year all-access pass to Small Business BC Seminars.
Sea to Sky was established in 2016 and aims to reduce or prevent construction waste from entering the landfill.
Crews use recycling stations and hand-sort loads to make sure recyclables are disposed of properly.
The business also provides waste audit reports and photo documentation so clients can see the effect of their work.
The contenders will be have to submit a application detailing why they deserve to win the award.
A panel of judges will whittle down the competitors to a Top 5 by late January and, eventually, announce the winners on Feb. 23 at the Vancouver Convention Centre during the annual awards gala.
