Just in time for spring yard or community gardening, The Squamish Gardener’s is bringing in gardening expert, author, teacher and entomologist Linda Gilkeson for a presentation titled, “Planning Your 12 Month Garden.”
The presentation is scheduled for Monday, April 9 at 7 p.m. at the Centrepoint 38014 Fourth Ave.
“Linda can harvest something fresh from the garden every day of the year,” reads the news release about her presentation. “How does she do it? It starts with the planning. It’s hard to imagine planting for winter when it’s still spring, but that’s when it starts.”
The event, which is open to the public, promises to answer questions and help gardeners learn how to maximize production and to grow fresh food all year long. Tickets for sale at Billie’s Flower House, Squamish Adventure Centre and at the door.
