The action takes place at the Eagle Eye Theatre tonight (Nov. 19) and Saturday (Nov. 20) at 7:30 p.m. and next week, from Wednesday (Nov. 24) to Saturday (Nov. 27) at the same time. Tickets are available at Billie's Bouquet and at the door, $15 for adults and $10 for seniors and students. Next Wednesday (Nov. 24), it is a two-for-one ticket night.

St. John's Anglican Church at 1930 Diamond Road is holding its annual Christmas Bazaar tomorrow (Nov. 20) from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Check out the baked goods and preserves, as well as the tables displaying knitted and hand sewn items and also the second hand nearly new treasures. There will be games and candy for the children and tickets will be sold for a chance to win a queen size quilt, a $100 grocery gift card and a $50 gasoline gift card. Poinsettias will also be for sale. Beverages and goodies will be available.

The day to celebrate the unveiling of the newly upgraded Squamish Oceanfront Trail and signage is tomorrow (Nov. 20) at 11 a.m. Presentations will be made by Mayor Greg Gardner, the Squamish Trails Society and the Squamish Oceanfront Development Corporation. Take along the family and explore the new trail on foot or by bike. Entertainment is planned and there will be light refreshments for everyone.

The Squamish Environment Society is co-ordinating the training for the Eagle Watch program and the volunteer training day will be held at the Adventure Centre on Saturday Nov. 27 from 9 a.m. to noon.

Tonight (Nov. 19), the Mamquam Elementary School is holding its annual Craft Fair and Bake Sale from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. The evening includes bingo, kids craft area, photos with Santa, cakewalk and pizzas.

The Over the Hill Hikers will meet at the Chief parking lot for a hike up the Stawamus Chief on Tuesday (Nov. 23) at 9 a.m. To join these ambitious hikers, please call Heather at 604-892-9003.

Squamish Elementary School is holding its annual Christmas Bazaar on Wednesday (Nov. 24) from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. The night includes crafts, bake sale, photos with Santa, raffle, bouncy castle and refreshments will be available.

Tickets are now on sale for the November Soup and Sandwich day at the Senior Centre on Thursday (Nov. 25) at noon. Tickets are $9 for members and $10.50 for non-members. On that day, an Arts and Crafts sale will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and will include Christmas decorations, knitting and more. Book a table for $5 - seniors fundraising tables are free. Make a day of it and stay for bingo at 1:30 p.m.

Members of the Tantalus Seniors Walking Club will meet at the dog pound for a trail walk beside the Mamquam and Squamish Rivers on Thursday (Nov. 24) at 10 a.m.

The adult evening Book Club will meet at the Squamish Public Library on Thursday (Nov. 24) from 7 to 8 p.m. to discuss the book Pope Joan by Donna Woolfolk Cross.

The next bus trip for seniors will be on Wednesday (Nov. 24) to the Hasting Park Casino. The cut-off date is Sunday (Nov. 21). On Tuesday Nov. 30, a trip to Burnaby Heritage Park is planned. The Squamish Hospice Society is offering a Bereavement Drop-In for those experiencing grief and loss. Each Wednesday until Dec. 15 from 10 a.m. to noon, a friendly caring welcome awaits you at the Hospice office (Red Cross Loan Cupboard building) at 38150 Behrner Avenue next to Hilltop House. A successful Christmas bazaar was held by the Women's Auxiliary to Squamish General Hospital on Nov. 13, and members much appreciated the support of the community. All proceeds go towards medical equipment for the hospital. The raffle winners were: Anne French - queen size quilt, Carol Laktin - quilted table runner and June Fromont won the warm buddy (lamb).

The third annual Polar Express for children and adults chugs out of the West Coast Railway Heritage Park for one hour rides on Saturday Dec. 4 and Sunday Dec. 5 with departures at 10 a.m., noon, 2 and 4 p.m. The regular coach prices for two to 12-year-olds is $19 plus HST, for adults 13 years and up the cost is $22 plus HST, and First Class tickets for children and adults are $32 plus HST.
