Sea to Sky teachers stand in solidarity with healthcare workers (PHOTOS)

The Sea to Sky Teachers' Association demonstrated in support of healthcare workers at Squamish General Hospital.

Teachers in the Sea to Sky are showing their solidarity with healthcare workers.

On Sept. 21, educators gathered in front of Squamish General Hospital to cheer on and give candy to those who don scrubs to help keep the community healthy.

Sea to Sky Teachers Association president April Lowe said that teachers wanted to show their appreciation for healthcare workers, who have been having an especially tough time amidst the prevalence of anti-vaccine demonstrators across the province.

Lowe said teachers wanted to give them a boost in morale as a thank-you for their service.

She also added that the association's teachers have been showing their support for healthcare workers in Whistler and Pemberton, as well.
