If you have old footage of Squamish, the Squamish Historical Society (SHS) is looking for you.
The SHS recently announced they have acquired a photograph, slide and negative digitizer to aid in the group's never ending journey to collect, document and showcase the visual history of Squamish.
The images will be shared within the SHS community on Facebook, Twitter and in a book to be published with the Squamish Photography Society in 2014. The two groups hope to release the book in time for the Squamish centennial celebrations next year.
Due to the portability of the digital technology, the SHS now has the ability to come directly to anyone's house if need be. The SHS has developed a strong following online, with more than 600 likes on Facebook and more than 300 followers on Twitter.
