Squamish eagles galore: Sunday is the 38th Annual Brackendale Winter Eagle Count

Each year, on the first Sunday after New Year’s Day, volunteers conduct the count, covering approximately 20 areas from the Elaho to downtown Squamish, and from Paradise Valley to the Stawamus River.

Eagles can be spotted all around Squamish from about October through to February.

Sunday, Jan. 7, marks the 38th Annual Brackendale Winter Eagle Count.

“We’ll meet at 9 a.m. at the Brackendale Art Galley again this year," said Christopher Di Corrado, organizer of this season’s count, on the Squamish Environment Society website.
