Every year, the staff from The Chief compete on a media team with our friends from Mountain FM against the District of Squamish and the leadership group at Howe Sound Secondary to see who can collect the most trash.
Carney's Waste Systems donates supplies and their Recycle Man judges the contest.
Each team is given 15 minutes to collect garbage around the Squamish Youth Resource Centre.
This year, the media team won!
Though it is all for fun and a good cause — cleaning up.
