Strap on the helmet, gloves, and leathers, the 5th Annual Squamish Motorcycle Festival rolls into town Saturday.

If you don't have a bike or the gear, that is just fine, come out and enjoy the action and cool machines anyway.

As always, there will be food and a beer garden as well as the Show and Shine Competition — where bike owners show off the best features of their two-wheeled machines in the categories: Best Classic, Best Sport Bike, Best Cafe Racer, Best Dirt Bike, Best Custom , Best Scooter, Best Overall
New this year are Slow Speed Races on Ruckus’.

"We will have Motorcycle Stunt Drivers and VIPS competing to see who can ride the slowest on a Ruckus bike (scooters) and not tip over," said spokesperson Jacquie Menezes in an email to The Chief.

Also new this year,  Squamish's Bluesberry Jam Showband and DJ Housecat will be playing tunes throughout the day.
Just like last year, all proceeds go to the Squamish Food Bank.
The event raised  $3,000 for the charity in 2017.

To catch the family-friendly fun head down to Junction Park and Cleveland Ave. between Main and Victoria streets.

The event goes on rain or shine from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Here's the day's rundown:
