Squamish Newcomer Services will host a Jewish cultural cooking program next week.

On Dec. 7 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., the public is invited to attend a Jewish cooking program at Howe Sound Women’s Centre. The event is free to attend.

“The cultural cooking program’s goal is to invite people from other cultures to teach us how to prepare some of their native meals,” reads the news release. “It is a way to connect people in our community and bring them together to share their stories through food.”

The news release said attendees will learn how to cook several traditional Jewish dishes, such as latkes, and that all genders and ages are welcome to attend.

Those who are interested can register via a Google Form. If there are any questions regarding the event, please call 778-793-6656 or email [email protected]
