Take Another 5 - An Evening of One Act Plays and is brought to you courtesy of Between Shifts Theatre. This theatre group never disappoints and these plays are headed for the North Shore Drama Festival in May. The dates at the Eagle Eye Theatre are Thursday (March 26) to Saturday and April 2, 3 and 4 at 7:30 p.m. each night. Tickets are now on sale at the Adventure Centre and Billie's Bouquet at $15 for adults and $10 for students and seniors.
Samapalooza is a benefit concert features a great line-up of bands Saturday (March 28) from 7 to 11 p.m. at the Totem Hall. Profits got to the Sustainability through Agriculture and Micro-Enterprises (Sam Project) - a non-profit group that helps rural development project in Zambia. The SAM Project was started by the Eves family following their son's death. Tickets are available at The Style Zone, O'Brien Pet Foods and Brackendale Bean at $15 in advance and $20 at the door.
The Squamish Helping Hands Society is hosting a Walk-a-thon on Saturday (March 28) at 1 p.m. Staff and volunteers are collecting pledges, whether large or small. The walk will be held regardless of the weather along Second Avenue to the Chieftain Mall, to the Howe Sound Inn and to the Drop In Centre where refreshments will be served. Pledges of $10 or more will receive a receipt for income tax. Please make cheques payable to the Squamish Helping Hands Society.

The Adult Evening Book Club at the Squamish Public Library will meet on Thursday (March 26) from 7 to 8 p.m. to discuss the book The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time by Mark Haddon.

A wellness workshop entitled Getting Up When You Fall Down will be held in the junior lounge at the Brennan Park Recreation Centre on Thursday (March 26) from 1 to 2 p.m. for seniors. The free workshop lead by Heidi Drygas will be a chance to pick up fall prevention tips and practice a safe way of getting up from a fall.
This evening (March 20) at 8 p.m. the Paperboys of Vancouver will be at the Brackendale Art Gallery for a concert and dance. Tickets are available at the BAG and The Bookshelf at $20 each.
The Soup and Sandwich luncheon at the Tantalus Seniors' Centre is on Thursday (March 26) from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. All seniors are invited for $5 each.
The grand final draw for the 2008-2009 series of Rotary 200 Club Lottery was held at the Rotary luncheon meeting at the Howe Sound Inn and Brewing Company on March 12.
