Squamish will be inundated with even more bright young minds come July.
About 60 delegates to the 2018 BC Heritage Fairs Provincial Fair will be at Quest University July 4 through 8.
“The delegates to the Provincial Fair are selected by adjudicators from each of 12 Regional Heritage Fairs to move on to represent their community, their school and their region at the Provincial Fair,” reads a news release about the event.
Students present stories — using the medium of their choice — about about Canadian heroes, contributions, sacrifices and tragedies.
While in town, delegates will also visit local historic sites and landmarks in and around the Squamish area.
On the final full day of the Fair they will showcase their award-winning Heritage Fair Projects at a public exhibition.
Each year the fair is held in a different region of the province.
