Squamish birder Chris Dale captured this footage of a MacGillivray’s warbler in the estuary.
According to All About Birds, the MacGillivray’s warbler is found in dense thicket, shrubbery, willows, or low tangles along wooded streams.
The oldest recorded MacGillivray's warbler was a male of about four years old.
It was found during banding operations in Oregon, and then re-released.
John James Audubon named it for his friend and editor, William MacGillivray, a Scottish naturalist.
