Ancient Arabic lutes, wind instruments from different cultures and percussion instruments from nations across the world will be playing in harmony in town.

A free concert and workshop aims to give locals a glimpse into the genre of world music.

On Oct. 23, the Allos Musica Ensemble will host an event at Quest University.

The group will explore the intersection of contemporary classical, jazz, and traditional music from the Middle East and Europe.

The session starts at 4:30 p.m. and the concert will happen at 7:30 p.m.

Quest’s Artist-In-Residence program offers “mini-residencies” with public performances, visual art events, open studios and workshops for the public.

Allos Musica Ensemble is the first such mini residency.

Anyone interested in going is asked to register on Eventbrite.

***Please note the story has been corrected. A news release given to The Chief said the event is on Oct. 24. It is in fact Oct. 23.
