Squamish Sikh Society's Gurmat Camp nurtures young minds in Sikh culture

The Squamish Sikh Society celebrated its Gurmat Camp on Saturday, March 23, at the Sikh Temple. There was food to share, prayer, dancing and ceremony.

The Squamish Sikh Society celebrated its Gurmat Camp on Saturday, March 23, at the Sikh Temple. 

There was food to share, prayer, dancing and ceremony. 

The camps allow young children to learn Sikh history and language, as well as Gurmat, which means the way of the guru, and Gatka, a type of martial arts.
