Are you interested in helping build Squamish’s newest music and art festival?

The corridor's newly announced festival, the Squamish Constellation Festival, set for  July 26 to 28 at Hendrickson Field has put out a call for some local help.

Festival organizers are seeking members to join an advisory committee for the event.

"This will be a small group of dedicated Squamish and corridor residents who want to help shape the upcoming festival," read a news release from Kirsten Andrews of Aquila Constellation Productions, who is one of the founders of the event.

Each volunteer committee member will be expected to attend monthly meetings between December and July. All advisory committee members will receive two VIP weekend passes to the three-day festival.

The event is slated to include food and drinks, art, a marketplace and of course, music.  Bands representing various genres will perform, including alt-pop, folk, indie, alt-rock, singer-songwriters, funk and soul, brass and big bands, among others.

There will be "strong representation of female, indigenous, and LGBTQ+ artists," according to the release.

Anyone interested in helping can fill out an online submission form (www.aquilaevents.ca/advisory) before Nov. 30.
