Your bucks well spent

Iron Man 2 Director: Jon Favreau Cast: Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Sam Rockwell Rated: PG-13 Running time: 124 minutes

One of the most feared words in the creative world - besides cutbacks - is sequel.

Sequel is not so much a dirty word but a word that is loaded down with expectations and quite often these expectations are enough to kill whatever it's trying to help. This is especially true with films that are great Like Iron Man. While Iron Man 2 does not top its predecessor it certainly does provide some fine blockbuster entertainment.

This film starts where the first left off with Tony Stark proudly privatizing world peace. Meanwhile lots of other people are trying to build suits to take him down.

As in any good action film a good hero is nothing without a good villain and thankfully we have the always enjoyable Mickey Rurke as a Russian with a family vendetta.

The weakest link in this movie is Sam Rockwell playing his always annoying weasel guy with cheesy dance moves. Seriously, I don't care when he's in a crappy movie but it is too bad when he gets a good role and stinks up the place.

Thankfully he's not enough to take down all the good.

Personally, one of my favourite things about comic book movies is figuring out what will tick off the comic book geeks out there. This time around if you want to have fun with someone who knows about classic comic characters - tell them "Samuel L. Jackson plays Nick Fury" and watch the fun begin.

All in all your blockbuster entertainment dollar will be well spent with this one enjoy.
