As the Dryden Creek fire is now being held, we’re excited to resume our daily event listings. Here are six standout events coming up in the community.

While there’s always something going on in this busy town, we paused publishing this daily listing due to the Dryden Creek wildfire. 

Now that the Dryden Creek wildfire is classified as ‘being held,’ we’re resuming our event listings—highlighting activities that do not interfere with ongoing firefighting operations

Here are six events local organizers uploaded to our online events calendar.

1. Today, June 16, through Aug. 8, there's Summer Weeks Fun for the kids at Tiny Tots Gym, located at 39668 Government Rd.,from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. 

"Looking for the perfect summer plan for your little one (ages 2–5)? Join us at Tiny Tots Gym from June 16 to August 8, Monday to Friday, 9am–1pm, for 8 weeks of themed fun and learning! Each week is packed with: 🎨 Crafts 🏃 Sportive Play 🔍 Scavenger Hunts 📖 Story Time 🍎 Snack Time (lunch not included)," reads the listing.

2. On June 17, whether you're a seasoned gardener or just getting started, mark your calendar for Ask a Master Gardener at the Squamish Public Library, located at 37907 2 Ave., from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

"The days are getting longer and warmer, and soon your gardens will be bursting into life. Join us at the Squamish Public Library as we welcome Gabi Brass, master gardener and long-time member and president of the Squamish Gardeners' Club for a master class on gardening. This is your chance to connect with a crowd of garden folks and learn a few new tricks. Don't miss out!"

3. On June 18, back at the Squamish Library, there's Endling: an Evening with Maria Reva, from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

"An evening with award-winning writer Maria Reva. Maria Reva's new book, Endling (Penguin Random House, 2025), is a novel set in Ukraine—an eccentric scientist breeding rare snails crosses paths with sisters posing as members of the marriage industry to find their activist mother. As Russia invades, they embark on a wild journey with kidnapped bachelors and a last-of-its-kind snail. This darkly comic novel explores survival, love, and the impact of war," reads the listing.

4. On June 20, those who want to dance can head to UFO HOUSE w/ Thomass Jackson [ARG], at Trickster's Hideout, located at 38005 Cleveland Ave., from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. 

"Prepare for a cosmic journey of sound and rhythm as Random Collective Records beams you into a night of hypnotic grooves and out-of-this-world energy," reads the listing.

5. On June 21, take in Logan Staats as part of the Squamish Beer Festival 2025, from 1 to 5 p.m. at the Al McIntosh Loggers Sports Grounds, 39555 Loggers Ln.

"Mohawk singer-songwriter Logan Staats began as a diamond in the rough, and has become the gem of Indigenous folk-rock. Staats grew up in Brantford, Ontario with no formal musical training, just a good ear and raw lyrical talent," reads the listing.

"His sound draws heavily from the rich blues and rock legacy of Six Nations. His music has garnered a Grammy nomination, multiple Native American Music Awards, and the SOCAN Indigenous Songwriter of the Year. Nowadays, he splits his time between Six Nations, Vancouver Island, and everywhere in between."

6. Looking ahead to June 27, there's Silence in the Library: an Escape Event, at the Squamish Public Library, located at 37907 2 Ave., from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

"An event for teens! Celebrate the start of summer by taking part in Silence in the Library. Come alone, or form a team (no more than four) and join us as we lock you in the library. You and your team will be presented with a number of puzzles and challenges to solve in a race against the clock to see if you can find the code to unlock the cabinet of mysteries," reads the listing.
