Many more events are coming up; go to our online events calendar to see them all!
1. On today, June 1, there's the Squamish Pride Parade down Cleveland Avenue, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The Pride Parade starts at 12 p.m.
"The Squamish Pride Parade is an annual community celebration and reflection of 2SLGBTQIA+ pride and Pride Month kickoff in the heart of downtown Squamish. The inclusive event brings together local artists, community organizations, businesses and allies to support and promote 2SLGBTQIA+ visibility and rights with the shared vision of safety, equality and acceptance for all. The Squamish Pride Parade features a vibrant and diverse display of floats, performances and individuals of all ages marching for awareness, representation, social justice and the right to be who they are," reads the listing.
2. On June 4, it is TWIG, Wood First Wednesday, at 2133 Wall St. from 6 to 8 p.m.
"This month, Sea to Sky Wood Network heads up the Squamish Valley to visit Daniel Wall at Wall Street Woodworks. Daniel is a woodworker known for his appreciation of local species and natural processes like spalting. His work appears throughout the corridor, including the local monastery. We'll tour his workshop, hear stories from a lifetime in craft, tour his forest and connect around the material that shape our region," reads the listing.
"Our monthly events in Squamish will traverse various locations, from shop tours to brewery hangouts. These gatherings are designed to cultivate a culture of wood, providing a space where innovation can flourish through meaningful connections within the group."
3. On June 6, grab your old skater clothes and platform shoes for 90’s + 2000’s Night at Trickster's Hideout, located at 38005 Cleveland Ave.
The event runs from 7 p.m. to 2 a.m.
"Step back in time with an explosive mix of your favourite hits from the 1990s and 2000s. Crippledwheel Pete is digging deep into the archives to bring you the ultimate throwback party," reads the listing.
4. Before you head to Trickster's on June 6, you could catch Taylor James, who performs at the Sea to Sky Gondola, at 36800 BC-99, from 5 to 9 p.m.
For Taylor, music is first and foremost about connection. It’s about translating and sharing the emotions that make life worth living, that make us who we are. “The world is messed up,” she says. “With music, I want to show people that they’re not alone, give them an opportunity and safe place to feel. Sure, I’d like to take the show to a bigger audience—whether it’s onstage or in front of camera. But the goal is to connect, not to get famous or impress anybody. Music makes the world better. That’s why I do it," reads the listing.
5. On June 7, there's the Howe Sound Secondary Prom Committee Fundraiser featuring She Stole My Beer at the Brackendale Art Gallery: Café & Culture Centre, located at 41950 Government Rd., from 8 to 11 p.m.
"Join us for a fundraiser in support of Squamish’s 2025 high school grads! Enjoy a high-energy live show by She Stole My Beer at Brackendale Art Gallery," reads the listing.
"She Stole My Beer is tough to hang a label on. Originating from Vancouver’s north shore, the septet has been at it for over 20 years. Two albums, a touring period, and a rude awakening to the realities of the music business have all come and gone but the live shows live on with just enough infrequency to keep their devoted fan base coming back in droves."
6. For something a bit different, on June 8, head to Trickster's Hideout for Sex Ed Trivia + Burlesque, from 5 to 10 p.m.
The funky venue is located at 38005 Cleveland Ave.
"Sex Educator Alysha Presents: Sex Ed Trivia and Burlesque Night at Tricksters Hideout with the one and only Meadow Phorical," reads the listing.
"Grab your favourite people for this one-of-a-kind event that you won’t want to miss. ... This is a 19+ event, and we welcome teams of 2-4 people. The evening features three rounds of Sex Ed Trivia along with bonus sexy games. Between rounds, you’ll be captivated by sensational burlesque performances from the incredible Meadow Phorical."
