Celebrate 40 years of choral music magic with the Delta Choral Society, a non-profit organization that owes its success to our community’s unwavering support and enthusiasm.

The Delta Concert Choir, born in 1984 from the vision of four women, has since brought joy to our community through music and expanded to include the Delta Youth & Children’s Choir and the Delta Chamber Choir.

“The Delta Choral Society is thrilled to bring our 40th Anniversary concerts to the community in May,” said Delta Choral Society president Nancy Chouinard. “The society has weathered challenges over the years, most notably the pandemic, and we are still here and thriving under the direction of our incredibly talented and inspiring artistic director John R. Williams. Singers range from our adorable children and youth choir members to concert choir member, Joyce Nightingale, who has been joyfully singing with us since the society’s beginning and ‘wouldn’t miss a Monday night practice.

“We have been entertaining at outreach events and concerts for four decades, and we greatly appreciate the support of this wonderful community. These concerts are indeed a celebration of our love of singing and include many choir favourites as well as delightful new songs. We invite you to join our three choirs to help us celebrate.”

Performances will be held on Friday, May 3 at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, May 4 at 2 p.m. at the South Delta Baptist Church (1988 – 56th Street, Tsawwassen).

Concession proceeds will benefit Deltassist.
