For those about to rock...

Just another tribute band? Don't be fooled.

Just another tribute band? Don't be fooled. After all, how many ersatz rockers (besides Spinal Tap) have their own movie?

BC/DC, a Nelson-based group which pays homage to the legendary lords of rock at the Ocean Port Hotel next Saturday next Saturday (Jan. 13), can make the claim.

Over the past eight years, with hundreds of shows under their belt, BC/DC have been one of the most popular shows to rock Canadians by the barfull.

Besides endless touring, a feature-length film about BC/DC, titled is currently being produced by Vancouver based film company Backwoods Entertainment. Revoltage captures the band in action, backstage, and on the "Highway to Hell", exposing the bizarre lifestyle they are forced to live. A 16-minute director's cut is currently being shown (to rave reviews) at independent film festivals around the globe, with the full-length release due in May 2007. The director's cut can also be seen on the web.
