Suzanne was born and raised in Toronto, Canada and had a childhood full of art, nature and of course, hockey! She moved along into the world of art and finally happily settled on fiber crafts. As life was weaving and spinning along the inevitable happened, children! And there was more than one of them! And so, slowed but not stopped, she continued to work into the wee hours of the morning fashioning fine and now somewhat smaller things.

The children grew, as children will and Suzanne had and IDEA what if she should teach children to play with fiber as she was doing and having oh-so-much fun. She has become a Waldorf Teacher and loves it. She has school happening all around her in many different sizes, shapes and colours, to accommodate the ever-growing masses of happy children and their parents. Currently, Suzanne is pursuing a B.F.A. at Sundridge College in New York in her spare time.

Gail Christopher

Tour the ArtWalk leave the driving to Gail

Last year artist Gail Christopher was part of the annual Squamish Valley Art Walk, opening up her airbrush studio to the public.

This year she is participating in a different way and conducting tours of the Art Walk with her new company, Howe Sound Taxi.

Gail and her husband, Frank Ryan, recently started Howe Sound Taxi to answer the demands of Sea to Sky country's growing public transportation demands. The response has been phenomenal.

Not only is Howe Sound Taxi providing daily transportation to the community, but the company also recognizes the need to show off the beauty of Sea to Sky country. One of the first special tours they want to offer is touring our fabulous artists' studios.

What could be more beautiful than the art inspired by these heavenly surroundings? This is an excellent tour for people who might not otherwise be able to make it to the studios, for tourists who don't know their way around, or for people who just want to take it easy and get chauffeured around in comfort.

Howe Sound Taxi can even shuttle groups up from Vancouver or down from Whistler during the Art Walk weekend. The vehicles are six passenger Montana vans, which are roomy, with all the comforts including air conditioning.Tours are going to be 2 to 3 hours long and start as low as $15 per person, with a minimum booking of two people.
